Diamondback Lux Specs
Designed around the butted 6061-T6 Aluminum frame, the Diamondback Lux is built specifically to give great leg clearance, and even better performance. That performance begins with the frame, and moves on down to the fork, where Diamondback has been kind enough to include a SR Suntour XCT 27.5″ fork. This fork has 80mm travel, which is more than enough for the average trail rider, and perfect for people looking for a bit of give, but not looking to drop off any 2 story buildings. Taking another page from the Suntour catalog, the Lux throws on a pair of SR Suntour XCT cranks, a dependable set that gets solid performance for the money More below.
Diamondback Lux Components
Shimano also makes a pretty large appearance in the Diamondback Lux component selection, with the Shimano TX50 and Shimano Acera M360 making up the front and rear derailleurs, respectively. The shifter and cogset are also shimano, as well as the brake levers. The chain is a KMC Z82, which is a dependable entry level chain that you see on a lot of bikes at this price range. The mechanical disc brakes come from Tektro, and work on a 160mm rotor set. These offer substantially more braking power than your typical drum brakes, so keep that in mind! The tires are the Chaoyang Hornet, and offer solid off road grip.
